#015 Residential Burglary
A residential burglary occurred on Bedford St. at approximately 12:40 p.m.  A witness watched as three suspects knocked on a door and then forced entry into the home after receiving no answer.  The witness called police and the suspects fled the area in a newer black Dodge truck with a partial last 3 digits similar to ****652.
 
#016 Possession of a Controlled Substance 
Officer R. Smith conducted a traffic stop and contacted a 26 year old adult male and a 24 year old male.   A records check showed the 26 year old had a non-extraditable Felony DUI Warrant out of Washington State.  The 24 year old was on active probation and a probation search revealed he was in possession of a controlled substance.  Both were arrested and transported.

#20 Chain Snatch Robbery
Officer Gourley conducted a Chain Snatch Robbery Investigation in the 4100 block of Alder Ave which occurred at 1:40 p.m.  The victim out of fear, allowed some time to pass before calling FPD to report this crime.  Video footage located depicts the suspect knocking victim to the ground while forcefully attempting to rip her chain from her neck.  Suspect then crouches at the downed victim and is able to remove the chain before running off. Suspect Description: Black male adult in his 40's, wearing a black baseball cap, dark jacket, and light colored pants.
 
Detectives have been assigned to this investigation and are looking into whether this same suspect is responsible for other recent local chain snatch robberies. 

#024 Warrant Arrest
Officers Rose and Bordy respond to a report of a group drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana in the Niles Community Park area.  A 43 year old male is contacted and records check shows he is on parole and has an active warrant for parole violation of weapons and explosives possession.  Officer Rose transported the male to Santa Rita Jail for booking.

#005 Arson
Officer Latimer was dispatched to assist Fremont Fire with a vehicle fire on the 3700 block of Spinaker Ct.  It was determined it was an arson.  Follow up will be conducted with the assistance of general crimes detectives.
