The Fremont Police Dispatch Center received a call at approximately 8:45 a.m., regarding an armed robbery and sexual assault that occurred at a business located at the Fremont Hub (39200 block of Fremont Hub).
Shortly before the business opened, a male suspect armed with a hand gun entered the store. The suspect held two female employees against their will at gunpoint and sexually assaulted them. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. The victims called police and several units responded.
A thorough canvas of the area was conducted, but unfortunately officers have no leads. The suspect is described as a black male adult wearing a black rimmed hat with white writing, black sweatshirt with white shirt underneath, dark pants and white shoes.
Detectives from the Crimes Against Persons Unit responded and are leading this investigation. They are seeking the public’s assistance and asking for any witnesses and/or persons with surveillance video in the area, to please contact the Department at 510-790-6800 x 3 with any information they think may be helpful in this investigation.
