Callers also state they think the pedestrian has life threatening injuries. As officers are responding to the scene another witness calls stating he is following the suspect vehicle. Some officers go to the scene of the crash, while others head towards the witness. Officer Goepp spots the suspect vehicle as it is called in turn by turn, by a great eyewitness. Ultimately the pedestrian victim is going to be okay and the suspect was transported to a local hospital for what appears to possibly be medical issues.

#013 Residential Burglary Attempt (In-Custody):
A resident on Eucalyptus Terrace called to report a suspect in her backyard who fled when he saw the her inside the residence.  Numerous officers and detectives responded to the area which resulted in Officer Dennis contacting the suspect, Demetrius Wells (19, Newark), who is out on bail for at least two prior residential burglaries that he committed this year.   Wells is positively identified and arrested.

#021 Trespassing
On August 4, 2017, officers responded to a man down call at 12:50 p.m., at a business on the 3900 block of Mowry Ave.  The male was described as sleeping in front of a business and not leaving after being asked to do so by security guards.  Officers arrived and spoke with a security guard who said the male was not allowed to be there.  They asked him to leave, but he would not answer.  The security guard told officers they wanted a trespassing warning issued for loitering.  Officers attempted to speak with the male and asked if he needed medical attention.  The male did not respond.  The male became visibly upset due to this being the second time in the day that he had been contacted by officers.  During a search, he tensed up and began yelling profanities.  He was placed in handcuffs and eventually issued a trespass warning citation and released at the scene.
