#020 Residential Burglary Arrest

#036 Stolen Vehicle Arrest
At 4:30 p.m., Officer Haugh located an occupied stolen vehicle on Thornton Ave.   Officer Haugh watched the vehicle until sufficient cover units arrived at his location.  A felony car stop was conducted.  The driver did not comply when asked to show his hands.  After several minutes, the driver finally complied and was taken into custody.  Richard Gonzalez, a 24 year old Fremont resident, was arrested for stolen vehicle and his felony warrant for stolen vehicle and possession of stolen property. 

#039 Health and Safety Code Violation
At 5:42 p.m., officers responded to the 40000 block of Albrae St.  on the report of a male who had just stolen a pair of pants from the retail establishment.  Officers located the male, later identified at Michael McDaniel, a 29 year old Fremont resident and detained him.  The store then advised they did not want prosecution.  McDaniel was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to Santa Rita Jail.  Case investigated by Officer Manrique.

#005 Warrant, Stolen Property and Possession of Burglary Tools
At 3:22 a.m., Officer Gregory located a parked vehicle with the engine running and two people sleeping in it in the 2000 block of Driscoll Rd. Officer Gregory made contact with the female driver and male passenger.  The female, Crystal Valdez a 31 year old Sunnyvale resident, had an active misdemeanor warrant and was arrested.   The male, Sonny Francis a 37 year old Fremont resident, was found to be on active searchable probation and had a misdemeanor warrant.  During a search of the vehicle, bolt cutters, 5 coils of copper wire, a wire snip tool, broken pieces of a spark plug and methamphetamine were located.  In addition to the warrant, Valdez was arrested for receiving known stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and possession of a controlled substance.  Francis was arrested for his outstanding warrant, a probation violation and possession of burglary tools.

#004 Commercial Burglary
At 1:00 a.m., officers responded to an alarm call to a business on Osgood Ct and confirmed a burglary occurred. The unknown suspects made entry by breaking the glass front door.  Reported loss was computer equipment.

Day shift responded to three mental health calls.
