DEARBORN, Mich. – The City of Dearborn, in conjunction with Dearborn Heights and the Red Cross, is opening two overnight emergency shelters starting at 6 p.m. tonight (March 9) for residents who are without power due to the windstorm.
The shelters are in Dearborn at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave., and McCollugh-Unis School, 7801 Maple Street.
No weapons or pets (except service animals) are allowed.
The shelters will have cots for sleeping. Volunteers will assist at the shelter operations. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
