Evacuations LIFTED - Ramona Brush Fire 
Firefighters are making great progress in the Rock Fire in Ramona near Highway 67 and Rockhouse Road. Limited evacuation notices are NOW LIFTED. If you evacuated, you may now return home. Please slow down for firefighters still working in the area.
The southbound side of Highway 67 remains closed at Archie Moore Road.
San Diego County is under a heat advisory through Sunday evening.
You can help prevent wildfires.
What can you do?
*Be vigilant - if you smell smoke or see a fire, call 9-1-1
*Do not burn trash
*Do not throw cigarette butts onto the ground or out of moving cars.
*Avoid using outdoor cooking equipment or grills during these times.
*Avoid using a lawn mower or weed whacker for now; both equipment can cause sparks which will start fires.
*Keep cars parked on driving surfaces and do not drive through tall grass. Catalytic converters are known for sparking fires on the grass below.
*Pulling a trailer? Make sure your chains are not touching the ground.

This is the San Diego County Sheriff's Department with an emergency message and evacuation information on Friday, July 22, 2016.
A brush fire is burning near Highway 67 and Rockhouse Road in Ramona. There is concern this fire may spread to homes, so nearby residents are being advised to evacuate.
A temporary evacuation point has been set up at the Ramona Branch Library located at 1275 Main Street.
Large animals can be taken to the Ramona Fairgrounds located at 434 Aqua Lane.
Please avoid the area near the brush fire. According to the CHP, Highway 67 is closed to traffic between Archie Moore Road to the north and Poway Road to the south.
