#015 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

At 9:50 a.m., Officer Navas conducted a pedestrian stop in the area of High St and Main St, and arrested Kent Eaton a 55 year old adult male for being in possession of drug paraphernalia and for two warrants.

#014 Grand Theft

Washington Hospital staff reported medical equipment valued at $10K, was stolen. Officer Rose is investigating.

#016 Residential Burglary Arrest

At 9:44 a.m., Officer Han investigated a residential burglary in the 4500 block of Thornton Ave. Officers located a male matching the description of the suspect who was seen running from the residence in the area of Bonde Way and Fremont Blvd. Initially the male provided a false name to officers. The 19 year old adult male, San Jose resident, was arrested for burglary, receiving stolen property and for two warrants.

#023 Commercial Burglary

CSO Oliveira investigated a commercial burglary of a storage unit in the 47200 block of Warm Springs Bl. This crime is most likely related to other similar burglaries at this same facility.

#024 Warrant Arrest

Officers responded to the 40900 block of Encyclopedia Ci on a report that a person was making threats and throwing things against the side of a building. Officer Ramsey investigated and arrested a 33 year old adult male for warrants.

#038 Possession of Tear Gas and Animal Neglect

At 3:54 p.m., officers responded to a suspicious circumstance call in the area of Ford Lane and Mowry Ave. During the investigation they made contact with a 52 year old adult male who was in possession of pepper spray, which he was not allowed to possess. In addition, officers noticed his dog was bleeding from visible sores on its body and appeared to be in extreme pain. Officers took the dog to a local veterinarian and learned that the owner was aware of its medical condition and failed to get proper treatment. The 52 year old was booked on charges of being in possession of tear gas and animal neglect.

#040 Residential Burglary

A residential burglary occurred in the 4900 block of Seneca Park Loop. Loss was gold, computers, camera and handbags.

#043, 044 DUI Collision

At 8:52 p.m., a driver traveling south on Paseo Padre near Stevenson was involved in a hit and run collision near that location. The driver continued to drive south to Grimmer Blvd where he strikes another vehicle at that intersection. And if that's not bad enough, he loses control and travels through the field near the southwest corner of Paseo Padre and Grimmer where he crashes into the wall of a condominium complex. Officers arrive on scene and determine the 44 year old adult male driver is intoxicated and is on probation for a prior. The male is transported to the hospital. All southbound lanes of Paseo Padre between Grimmer and Gomes were closed while officers investigated. The male was arrested for DUI, Hit and Run and for a probation violation.

#045 Theft, Brandishing a Knife and Possession of a Controlled Substance Officer Allsup investigated a theft and brandishing (knife) call near the area of Walnut and Fremont Blvd. A little bit later, Officer Madsen stopped two males at Irvington Park and they are determined to be the suspects in this case. They were arrested for those crimes as well as for being in possession of a controlled substance. They were booked at Santa Rita.

#004 Second Degree Burglary, Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Burglary Tools

At 5:04 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 30000 block of Shasta St. to investigate an in-progress auto burglary. The victims woke to their truck being burglarized and detained the suspect until officers arrived. The 28 year old adult male suspect was arrested by Officer Rodarte and the investigation revealed that he had been driving a stolen vehicle at the time he committed this burglary. Some of the property from the victim’s vehicle was located inside the stolen vehicle. The suspect was arrested for second degree burglary taking a vehicle without permission and being in possession of burglary tools (shaved keys).
