#035 Residential Burglary Attempt
A resident on the 4700 block of Calaveras Ave. heard noises from the front of his house at approximately 12:00 p.m.  The resident found his front door had been kicked open and saw a black older Volkswagen leaving the area.  The vehicle was occupied by three males.  The suspect vehicle was not located.   Suspect 1: Black male adult wearing a grey sweatshirt hoodie, with the hood on.  Suspect 2 and 3 : Black male adults.  Suspect Vehicle: 1990's black 4-door Volkswagen.
 
#056 Robbery
Officers investigated a late reported robbery on the 43500 block of Christy Street that had occurred earlier in the evening at approximately 7:20 p.m.  Three suspects entered a retail store and stole approximately $750 worth of shoes. When employees confronted the suspects, they battered two of them and fled in a black SUV. Suspect #1: Black female adult, medium build and medium length black/red toned hair.  She was wearing a pink hooded jacket, black football jersey with a red number "7", black pants and black shoes.  Suspect #2: Black male adult, thin build, and black hair.  He was wearing a gray long sleeve sweater, light green pants and black shoes.  Suspect #3:  Black female adult, light skin and short black hair.  She was wearing a black long sleeve jacket, baby blue pants and tan shoes.  Suspect Vehicle:  Black small size SUV with tinted windows.  (Possibly a BMW) 
 
#061 Warrant Service
Officer Pezeshkan and FTO Ferrara led a team of officers to the 5300 block at 10:29 p.m. for a warrant service.  Prior to contact, the wanted person’s boyfriend walked into officers and the 37 year old Sunnyvale resident was arrested for the meth he had on his person.  Also arrested for her warrants was a 35 year old female Fremont resident.
 
#004 DUI Arrest
At 1:29 a.m. Officer San Luis stopped an adult male driver for a vehicle code violation near Thornton and Moraine.  The 24 year old adult male, Union City resident was arrested for DUI. 
 
#005 DUI Arrest
At 1:51 a.m. Officer Oliveira observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed with no headlights on.  As the vehicle continued on, he observed it swerving from side to side on east bound Grimmer Blvd.  The driver, a 27 year old adult female, Newark resident was arrested for DUI.
 
#057 Residential Burglary
At 9:36 p.m., Officer O’Neal investigated a residential burglary in the 35000 block of Faraday Ct. that occurred sometime during the day.  The suspect(s) made entry by prying open the front door.  Game consoles and jewelry was the reported loss.

#006 Car-jacking 
At 6:13 a.m. a victim was making a delivery at Denny’s.  When he got out of the truck, a suspect punched him and then got into the 26ft box truck and drove away.  Witnesses called to advise that the box truck was abandoned at Tyler Ct.  A perimeter was set and as the search was about to start, officers located a homeowner that had video surveillance cameras aimed in the direction of the truck.  The video showed the suspect getting out of the truck and getting into a light colored small SUV type vehicle.  Officers continued on with the investigation and eventually arrested the 36 year old adult male suspect.  
 
#012 Assault with a Deadly Weapon 
Officers investigated an assault with a deadly weapon on the 3000 block of Heritage Terrace.   At 10:17 a.m. Newark PD called to advise they were with a victim of a stabbing.  The suspect was in a verbal argument with her boyfriend.  She got angry and retrieved a knife from the kitchen.  She stated that she accidentally cut the victim’s arm twice.  A 24 year old adult female was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.  Case investigated by Officer J. Roberts.
 
#022 Commercial Burglary
CSO Baca investigated a commercial burglary at Glenmoor Elementary School.  The multi-purpose room was ransacked and vandalized.
 
#023 DUI Arrest
Officer Goepf responded to a fast food restaurant on Automall Pkwy. regarding a male who drove his vehicle the wrong way into the drive-thru and was now stuck, blocking the exit of other vehicles.  Upon arrival, the driver, a 37 year old adult male was arrested for drunk driving.
 
#027 Residential Burglary
CSO Baca investigated a residential burglary that occurred on Howe Ct. between the hours of 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Loss was a laptop and jewelry.
 
#039 Hit and Run Fatal Collision
Dispatch received a call from a female who said she just witnessed a woman being struck by a vehicle on Fremont Blvd, just south of Thornton Ave.  Bystanders begin CPR on the female until Officer T. Roberts arrived on-scene and took over CPR.  FFD / P-Plus arrived and transported the female to a trauma center, however she was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving.  The suspect vehicle fled the scene and was not located.  The suspect vehicle was described as a light colored Jeep Wrangler with a small lift kit and oversized tires, it was last seen north bound Fremont Blvd past Thornton Ave.  The Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation.  Investigating officers are following up on additional information received after publicizing the case via the media. 
 
#001 Criminal Threats 
Officers were dispatched to Brown Rd on the report of an intoxicated subject who was threatening to kill people.  Officers arrived on-scene and located the hostile male who was not cooperative.  Several additional units are requested and after a brief talk with the suspect, the 43 year old adult male was arrested without incident.  Case investigated by Officer Collins.

#06 & 08 Hit and Run Collision
A reporting party calls about a solo vehicle that left the freeway and struck a telephone pole. The male driver fled the scene and was eventually stopped by Milpitas PD.  He admitted to the crash.  Officer Stinson arrested him for hit and run, driving on a suspended license and narcotics violations.  
 
#009 Attempt Residential Burglary 
Officers responded and investigated an attempt residential burglary on the 4800 block of Yellowstone Park Dr.  Sometime during the night, unknown suspect(s) climbed over fence and attempted entry to the house via a side door with a pry tool.  The homeowner was home at the time.  CSO Ernst investigating. 
 
#012 Theft from Vehicle
Officers responded to the 4200 block of Dallas Ct. to investigate a theft from a vehicle. Unknown suspect(s) took a container from a pickup that was unlocked.  Loss was a handgun and laptops.  CSO Anders investigating. 
 
#022, #023 Warrant Arrests 
Officer Crow and FTO Harvey contacted a 25 year old adult male and a 37 year old adult female in the area of Ford Ln/Mowry Ave and arrested both for their misdemeanor warrants.
 
#016 Residential Burglary 
CSO Ernst investigated a residential burglary that occurred at a residence on Hilo St.  Forced entry was made through a rear window.
 
#030 DUI
Officer Zargham conducted a traffic stop and contacted an adult female who is found to be under the influence of alcohol.  The female driver is arrested for DUI.
 
#031 Injury Collision
Officers are dispatched to a collision at Fremont Blvd and Chapel Dr.  One driver suffers serious injuries and is transported to a trauma center.  Northbound Fremont Blvd was shut down for a few hours and multiple Officers and CSOs were tied up during the investigation.  Case investigated by Officer Burch.
