#015 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest

At 12:15 p.m., K9 Officer Taylor and Officer Rose encountered two well-known subjects on the 500 block of Posada Way. During the contact, a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia was issued to a 30 year old adult female, Fremont resident.

#005 Public Intoxication Arrest

A reporting party calls about a male passed out or sleeping behind the wheel of his car. Fremont Fire arrived to provide medical aid and the male tried to leave. Officer Liu arrested the 27 year old adult male for being drunk in public.

#001 Armed Robbery

At 11:58 p.m., six male victims were walking on the sidewalk in front of an apartment complex on the 39000 block of Fremont Blvd when they were approached by a male suspect with a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect demanded the victims’ cash and pat searched them for jewelry. The suspect fled the area towards Sundale Drive. The suspect was described as a black male adult, approximately 6’3” tall and about 23-30 years old. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.

#014 Possession of a Stolen Vehicle

At 9:38 a.m., Officer Ehling responded to a stolen vehicle that was parked outside a residence on the 4200 block of Bay Street. Through his investigation, he arrested a 19 year old adult male, Fremont resident, for taking the vehicle without permission. He was booked at FPD Jail.

#030 DUI Arrest

At 3:52 p.m. officers were dispatched to investigate a driver who was suspected of being under the influence. A citizen called police after witnessing the vehicle weave across several lanes of traffic, hit a raised concrete curb and stated the driving speed was much slower than surrounding traffic. The witness follows the vehicle until it parks and the driver gets out and enters a restaurant. Officers locate the vehicle and then the driver at the restaurant on the 40700 block of Grimmer Blvd.  Officers arrested the 56 year old adult female driver, Fremont resident for driving while intoxicated.

#039 Shoplifting

At 6:11 p.m., Officer Stiers responded to the 39200 block of Fremont Blvd. to investigate a reported theft at a retail store. Store security had detained the suspect. After arriving and investigating the circumstances, officers arrested a 31 year old adult male, Fremont resident for shoplifting.

#027 Residential Burglary

Officers were dispatched to the 43000 block of Dubal Ct to investigate a suspicious circumstance call at 3:18 p.m. The reporting party stated that he noticed a front door open at a residence and a side window was also broken. Officers arrived and clear the residence and confirm a burglary had occurred. The bedrooms were ransacked and jewelry, a television, personal documents and currency was taken. A neighbor’s video surveillance system captured a suspicious white sedan in the area at about 9:35 a.m., but officers were not able to see the license plate or any identifiable features of the people inside. It’s unknown if it was related.

#033 Residential Burglary

Officers investigated a residential burglary on the 47000 block of Towhee St. that occurred sometime between 12:15 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The suspects entered the residence through an open front window and exited out the rear sliding glass window. Loss reported was jewelry.

#046 Package Theft from Porch

A victim from the 35300 block of Terra Cotta Circle reported a package theft from his porch that occurred sometime between 01/28/16 and 02/02/16. Video surveillance of the suspect showed the suspect as a male, dark beanie, blue shirt and blue jeans. The suspect vehicle was described as a black Honda Accord. Investigated buy Officer Wong

#001 Petty Theft from Vehicle (interrupted)

At 12:09 a.m., a reporting party on Shinn Ct called after he witnessed his neighbor’s vehicle being broken into. The witness had chased the suspect and lost sight of the suspect in the area of Shinn Park. The suspect was described as white male, 30 to 40 years of age, 5'11, slim build, unshaven, wearing a dark colored beanie, dark colored backpack and dark colored pants. Investigated by Officer Madsen.

#035 Residential Burglary

Officer T. Bobbitt took a burglary report from the 36100 block of Fremont Blvd. The burglary occurred between 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The unknown suspect(s) forced entry to the front door of the residence and took currency and a television. No suspect information.

#036 Package Theft

At 3:32 p.m., Officer Crow and FTO Johnson took a package theft report from the 6000 block of Roma Tr. A reporting party witnessed the incident and gave officers a good description of the suspect. The suspect was described as a Filipino male adult, 5'05”, black hair, wearing sunglasses, grey shirt, dark grey hoodie and dark jeans. The suspect vehicle was an early 1990's silver Honda Civic, 2 door, with a grey primer hood and unknown rear license plate.

#038 Commercial Burglary

At 1:31 p.m., CSO Goralczyk investigated a burglary on the 6000 block of Stevenson Blvd. The unknown suspect(s) smashed the glass odor to the business that was under construction to gain entry. Once inside, they took a generator and wire.

#044 Residential Burglary

At 7:27 p.m., Officer J. Gigliotti and FTO Layfield took a residential burglary report on the 4000 block of Abbey Terrace. The incident occurred between 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The unknown suspects gained entry by prying open the front door. All of the rooms were ransacked. The loss was unknown at the time of the initial report.

#056 Posession of a Dirk/Dagger and Suspected methamphetamine

At 10:55 p.m., Officer Burch and FTO Foster conducted a stop on a 24 year old adult male, Fremont resident near the area of Fremont Blvd and Peralta Blvd. The male was arrested for possession of a dirk/dagger. During transport to the jail, the male was messing with one of his shoes. Upon arrival at the jail, officers found the shoe to contain small bindles of suspected methamphetamine.

#009 - Chain Snatch Robbery

At 2:35 p.m., a female victim was walking along Eggers Drive towards Hastings Street when an unknown suspect approached her and said "I want your chain". The victim said "no" and the suspect ripped the chain off of her neck after a brief struggle. The suspect fled in a waiting vehicle. The vehicle was last seen turning northbound on Fremont Boulevard from Eggers Drive. Suspect: Black male adult in his 20s, 6'00" - 6' 02", slim build, last seen wearing a black leather jacket, white shirt, dark pants and shoes. Suspect Vehicle: 2000 Honda Accord, grey with possible tinted windows. Investigated by Officer J. Roberts.

#016 Residential Burglary Attempt

Stratton Co (Decoto area) – A victim came home to her residence on Stratton Common and found an unknown male standing with his hand on the door knob of her open front door. When the suspect saw the victim, he said he was looking for his son and then ran off. The door frame to the residence was damaged and it appears the homeowner arrived just as the suspect was preparing to enter the residence. Suspect: Black male adult, 20’s, slim build wearing a blue hoodie and dark gray jeans.

#018 DUI

At 7:56 p.m., Officer Zargham responded to a report of a male passed out in a truck that was facing the wrong way on Niles Bl. at Rancho Arroyo Pkwy. Officer Zargham arrived to find the male in his vehicle with his shirt pulled up over his head, passed out in his vehicle but still holding his foot on the brake. Officer Zargham assisted the male by putting the vehicle in park, turning the vehicle off and placing the male under arrest for DUI.

#019 Suspicious Circumstance/Possible Robbery Attempt

A pizza delivery driver arrives at an address on Northland Tr. to deliver an order. He knocks on the door but no one answers the door. He then notices three suspicious males standing on the side of the house. The driver leaves the area and a female calls the pizza company again asking where the pizzas are. The manager checks the phone number and finds that the number is spoofed. FPD units responded to the area and did not locate the suspicious males. Possible suspects described as three young black male juveniles, 5’05”, skinny, in dark clothing and dark beanies. No suspect vehicles seen.

#025 DUI Arrest

At 9:53 p.m., Officer Greenberg-Bobbit stopped a vehicle near Thornton and Oak. The driver, a 57 year old adult male, Fremont resident was determined to be under the influence while driving and was arrested for the same.

#026 Non-Injury DUI Collision

At 9:55 p.m., Officer Hernandez was dispatched to a reported non-injury accident near the 40000 block of Grimmer Road. The driver, a 25 year old adult female, Tracy resident was determined to be DUI and was subsequently arrested.

# 031 Residential Burglary

A resident from the 5400 block of Midday Common arrived home and noticed his house had been burglarized. The unknown suspect(s) made entry by smashing the rear sliding glass door. Loss was primarily electronics.

#017 Possession of a Controlled Substance

At 1:50 p.m., Officer Gourley responded to a person down call in the Five Corners area of Irvington. The caller stated that a male was passed out in the seating area inside a grocery store. Officers arrive and find the male being tended to by Fremont Fire. The male was found to have suspected methamphetamine in his backpack. Officers arrest and cite release the 18 year old adult male, Fremont resident for possession of a controlled substance..

#024 Arson

At 3:50 p.m., Fremont Fire requested FPD officers respond to a small fire that had been set near the baseball fields at Holy Spirit church. Unknown suspect(s) appear to have intentionally lit property belonging to the baseball league that plays at the fields on fire. Officer Richards documented our involvement and CSI Foster collected evidence. This is the second act of vandalism at the fields in the last few weeks.

#026 Residential Burglary

At 2:58 p.m., Officer Crow investigated a residential burglary that occurred on San Pedro Dr. between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.  Entry was made through the master bedroom window and the bedrooms were ransacked. Loss was a jewelry. Investigated by Officer Crow and FTO N. Johnson.

#045 DUI Arrest

At 11:10 p.m., Officer Hernandez conducted an enforcement stop on I880 at Automall Pkwy after watching a vehicle make several lane changes without proper signaling and having several near misses with other vehicles.  He made contact with the driver and arrested the 37 year old adult female, Hayward resident, for DUI. The driver booked at the Fremont Jail.

#046 DUI Arrest

At 10:59 p.m., Officer Burch and FTO Foster stopped a blacked out vehicle traveling at a high rate speed in the area of Thornton Ave and Fremont Blvd. The driver, a 48 year old adult male, Union City resident was arrested for DUI.

#001 DUI Arrest

At 11:56 p.m., while on his way to the Santa Rita Jail, Officer Scherer was driving behind a vehicle on southbound Mission Blvd. that was swerving between lanes and unable to maintain a consistent speed. Officer Scherer followed the vehicle onto I680 where the vehicle nearly drove off the roadway.  He initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle pulled over at Sheridan.  Officer Luevano and Officer Collins  responded and attempted to provide the 38 year old adult male (Oakland resident) driver with a field sobriety test. The male was too intoxicated to complete the test. Officer Luevano arrested the male for DUI.

#040 Garage Burglary

At 6:04 p.m., officers responded to a garage burglary that had occurred on the 3800 block of Burton Common sometime within the prior 24 hours. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the residence from an unlocked garage door. Loss was determined to be camping equipment.

#014 Possession of Burglary Tools

At 8:34 a.m., Officer Settle conducted a bicycle stop on the 3000 block of Main Street on a bicyclist who was riding on a sidewalk in violation of a Fremont Municipal Code.  The 33 year old adult male, Fremont resident was searched per his probation terms.  A pair of bolt cutters, a wrench, wire strippers, an LED headband and a pipe cutter were located.  Know from experience to be tools used to steal copper wire the male was arrested for possession of burglary tools.

#019 Possession of Methamphetamine

At 10:37 a.m. Officer Gaziano was dispatched to assist with a trespassing issue on the 41000 block of Chapel Way.  During the incident, he came into contact with a 39 year old adult male, Fremont resident who was on probation.  The male was searched and found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

#026 Commercial Burglary

At 3:00 p.m., Officer Latimer responded to Motel 6 South after the reporting party returned to his room and found his quad copter drone missing and items not belonging to him in the room. Case investigated as a burglary.

#031 Public Intoxication Arrest

Officer Gigliotti and FTO Layfield arrested a 50 year old adult female for being drunk in public after receiving calls of her laying in the roadway at Washington/I680.

#033 Stolen Vehicle Arrest

At approximately 6:00 p.m., Officer Hollifield located a stolen Honda CRV parked in front of a residence on Mowry Ave. While waiting for additional officers to arrive, a suspect approached the vehicle. At 6:38 p.m., the male entered the driver’s side of the CRV and units attempted to pull up and conduct a traffic stop. As officers reached the vehicle, the male was able to start the vehicle and drive away. The suspect saw units approaching from the west, so he drove the CRV over the frontage road median and onto westbound Mowry Ave. Two units engaged in a short vehicle pursuit. The suspect pulled into the Mowry East shopping center and abandoned the vehicle. A perimeter was set up and a citizen called in and advised FPD dispatch that a male had ran into Starbucks and changed his shirt. Units responded to the Starbucks and placed the 40 year old adult male under arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle, felony evading and probation violation. No citizens, officers or suspects were injured. Great team work by the officers and community!

#035 Residential Burglary

CSO Goralczyk investigated a residential burglary on Kootenai Dr. that occurred sometime over the last week while the home owner was away. Point of entry was via the side gate and an unlocked window. Loss reported was jewelry, currency, personal documents and expensive purses.

#003 DUI Arrest

At 1:30 a.m., Officer Gregory noticed a VW SUV turn from northbound Washington onto eastbound Union St. The VW took the turn wide and began driving eastbound in the #1 westbound lane of Union St. The VW drove approximately 100 feet eastbound in the westbound lane before swerving into the  eastbound lane, in order to avoid hitting Officer Gregory’s patrol vehicle. An enforcement stop was conducted near Almond and Lee Street. The driver, a 56 year old adult female, was determined to be DUI and was arrested.

#044 Residential Burglary

Residential burglary occurred on the 42000 block of Camino Santa Barbara. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the residence by smashing a sliding glass door. Loss included electronics, jewelry, and designer clothing.

#008 Commercial Burglary

CSO Zamora investigated a commercial burglary in the 41000 block of Lincoln St. The loss is a purse, stolen from an assisted living facility.

#015 Commercial Burglary

At 9:42 a.m., CSO Zamora investigated a commercial burglary in the 4400 block of Peralta Blvd.  The reported loss was auto mechanic tools and computers.

#031 Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Heroin

At 6:45 p.m. Officer Stiers and FTO Lobue located an occupied stolen 2002 maroon Saturn driving northbound on I880 near Mowry Ave. An enforcement stop was conducted and a female driver and male passenger were contacted. The vehicle is confirmed stolen out of East Palo Alto. The 25 year old adult female, Oakland resident, and 37 year old adult male, Oakland resident are both arrested and booked into jail  being in possession of the stolen vehicle. The female had an additional charge for being in possession of heroin.
