Fremont police officers are currently investigating an injury collision at the intersection of Walnut Ave and Fremont Blvd.
At approximately 10:20 am, patrol personnel attempted to conduct a vehicle stop on a female motorist driving a car with stolen license plates. A brief pursuit was initiated and ended at the intersection of Fremont Blvd and Walnut Ave when the suspect collided with a second vehicle injuring a male driver. The 31 year old female suspect fled on foot and was caught a short distance away by Fremont officers. Both the suspect and male driver involved in the collision, were transported to local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries. The incident and collision remain under investigation and no further details are currently available. Officers anticipate being in the area until approximately 1:30 pm. Some lanes of traffic are closed so please use alternatives routes to avoid delay.
