#010 Commercial Burglary
Between 5:00pm on 07/17/2015 and 5:30 am on 07/20/2015, unknown suspect(s) entered a business in the 3200 block of Darby by cutting through a cyclone fence and cutting a padlock off of a storage container. The loss was power tools.
#013 Commercial Burglary
Between 4:00pm on 07/17/15 and 6:45am on 07/20/15, unknown suspect(s) entered a business in the 6300 block of Kaiser by prying a door. The loss was electronics, hand tools and power tools.
#036 Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Officer Involved Shooting
At 6:51pm, Fremont Police Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call of a family disturbance on the 4700 block of Baffin Ave. The female caller stated she and a second female had been threatened and chased by her male roommate who was armed with a knife. The two females fled the scene for their safety and said the male roommate was on the porch holding the knife.
Fremont Police Patrol Officers were dispatched at 6:52pm and immediately responded. Officers arrived on scene at 6:56pm and were confronted in the front yard of the residence by the male suspect who was armed with a knife. During the altercation two Fremont Police officers discharged their firearms, striking the suspect.
Fremont Police and Fremont Fire rendered medical aid to the suspect and he was immediately transported to a local trauma center. The suspect underwent surgery late Monday evening and is currently in the hospital. The suspect is a 54 year old adult male Fremont resident.
Fremont Police Detectives are in the early stages of this investigation and no further information will be released at this time. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has been notified.
#001 Warrant Arrest
At 2:10am, Officer Roberts was dispatched to the 36800 block of Limeta in regards to a family disturbance. Officer Roberts contacted a male (43 years old/Fremont) and arrested him for an outstanding warrant.
