This is a notification of an officer involved shooting which occurred today at about 2:15. Officers were dispatched to a report of an adult male who brandished a knife at juveniles on Lake Arrowhead Ave. near Sylvester Harvey Park. Officers arrived at the scene and located the armed suspect. One officer fired a TASER, and a second officer fired their service weapon. The suspect did not survive. None of the involved officers, or neighbors were injured. This is preliminary information based on what is known at this time. More detailed information will be provided at a later time. Fremont Police Detectives are on scene investigating the shooting and it is expected they will be there for the next several hours.
