Incidents: 316 Reports: 42

#012: False information to a Police Officer/Warrant Arrest 

At approximately 9:40 am, a Taxi-cab driver called Fremont Police to report a fare evasion at Motel 6 (north).  The female suspect fled into a room prior to police arrival.  Officer Richards made contact and arrested a male occupant of the motel room because he provided false identity to a police officer as well as his two outstanding warrants. 

#017: Residential Burglary Attempt

An attempted residential burglary occurred near the 3400 block of Isherwood Way.  The suspect entered the residents' backyard and attempted to pry a rear door.  The homeowner observed this and yelled.  The suspect then fled the area. The resident described the suspect as a white male, late teens (high school age), thin build, about 5'7" with short, wavy dark blond hair.  He was last seen wearing a light red short-sleeve tee shirt.

#018:  Residential Burglary

A residential burglary occurred between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 a.m., near the 800 block of Walnut Avenue.  The suspect(s) pried the front door and stole, jewelry, currency, passports and misc. other items.  No suspect leads at this time.

#032: Outside assist for Fremont Fire Department

Officers responded to an outside assist for the Fremont Fire Department who were on scene at a local pre-school located near Warm Springs Blvd. and Warrant Ave. A large wall cabinet fell on two preschool children as they took naps. One child suffered minor injuries while the other (a 3 year girl) suffered a major injury and was unresponsive. Paramedics requested a life flight helicopter to transport the child to a trauma center. We have since received information that the child’s status has improved, but she remains hospitalized.

#039: Disturbance

At approximately 7:25 p.m., a 34 year old male reported that he had just been the victim of a takeover robbery where various electronic components had been taken from his business near the 41000 block of Albrae Street.  The male indicated that he knew the suspects who had just left in a white colored two door vehicle. Officers responded to the area and observed the vehicle leaving.  They conducted a felony car stop on the vehicle. A 31 and 33 year old male were detained. Subsequent investigation revealed that they were all merely business partners who became involved in an argument over various business assets.  

#001: Public Drunkenness

At about midnight, Officer Dooley was detailed to the area of Mission Blvd and Morrison Canyon Road regarding a male walking in traffic.  Upon arrival Officer Dooley contacted a 22 year old male and determined he was too intoxicated to care for his own safety.  He was arrested for drunk in public.

#002: Suspicious Circumstance

About 11:15 p.m., Officer Meredith was detailed to a local auto dealership lot regarding subjects seen jumping the fence onto the property.  The witness advised that the subjects had taken a dark colored SUV, from the property.  A person responsible for the property could not be located to respond.  Units were unable to determine if any vehicles were missing.  The report was taken as a suspicious circumstance.  

#005: Vandalism

About 1:00 a.m., Officer Roberts was detailed to the 42000 block of Boscell Road to check on a vandalism that had occurred to a vehicle.  Apparently an intoxicated subject was kicked out of the bar and became upset.  He then punched the side mirror on a vehicle in the parking lot, breaking it.  The subject was detained by security.  The 41 year old male was arrested for vandalism.

#012: Warrant Arrest

Officer Scherer and Officer Hanrahan conducted a warrant service on Yampa Way.  They arrested a 27 year old male for an outstanding warrant. 

#035: Driving Under the Influence Collision

Officers responded to a vehicle collision on Mattos Drive.  A 22 year old female was driving her full sized pick up truck west bound on Mattos Drive at a high rate of speed. As the roadway began a sweeping left turn she was unable to control the vehicle and drove over the curb and into a power pole. The impact sheared the pole and sent live electrical wires to the ground. The impact caused a power outage to a three block area. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest.

#038: False Police Report

About 9:50 p.m., a citizen called in to report a male had held a gun to his head and threatened to kill him.  The suspect fled west bound towards Wells Fargo Bank and was described as a 45 year old white male, wearing a blue hoodie and jeans with a short barreled gun.  All available FPD units responded to check for the subject.  Officer Dooley investigated the incident and learned the reporting party was intoxicated and not injured and no robbery had occurred.  Officer Dooley arrested the 51 year old male for making a false police report and for public drunkenness.

#005: Drunk Driving

At about 1:30 a.m., Officer Nordseth stopped a vehicle in the area of Fremont Blvd. and Bidwell Drive.  The driver, a 35 year old male, was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and is arrested for same. 

#004: Public Drunkenness

Officer Meredith was detailed to check on a vehicle blocking the roadway in the area of Marrietta and Starfire.  Upon arriving he located a vehicle parked on the wrong side of the street, with a subject passed out in the vehicle, which was not running.  The occupant was found to be too intoxicated to care for his own safety and was arrested public drunkenness. 

#006: Public Drunkenness

Officer Dooley was detailed to Lemke Place to check on a female breaking things and hitting her relatives.  A 21 year old female was located in front of the residence.  No persons were found to have been injured and the female was determined to be too intoxicated to care for her own safety.  She was taken into custody and arrested for drunk in public.

#009: Parole Violation

At 9:24 a.m., Officers responded to a 911 call at the Century Village apartment complex on Paseo Padre Pkwy.  A witness heard a commotion and then saw a male kick open the front door of an apartment and threaten the female resident.  Units arrived within minutes but the male had fled.  The investigation revealed that a known 29 year old male on parole, had vandalized the door and threatened a female. The male was found in the area was subsequently arrested for a parole violation.

#015: Residential Burglary

A residential burglary occurred near the 3500 block of Darwin Drive.  At 11:53 a.m., two residents were napping and awoke to find two burglars in their home.  They dialed 911 and while police were responding, the suspects fled in a silver Honda Civic.  The suspects were described as two Hispanic male adults, around 15-20 years old, one approximately 5’07” with a medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.  Entry was made via an open bathroom window.  No loss was taken.

#017: Residential Burglary Attempt

At approximately 1:15 p.m., a residential burglary attempt occurred near the 4400 block of Ardo Street.  A victim was in her garage when a male suspect broke her side garage door.  The suspect saw the victim and fled the area.  The victim chased the suspect and saw him get into an awaiting silver four door sedan.  The silver vehicle was parked in front of the victim’s home just prior to the crime.  The victim and a witness describe the suspects as, two Hispanic male adults, approximately 18- 20 years old, one with short dark hair, wearing a light colored T-shirt. 

***These suspects and suspect vehicle match the description from the residential burglary listed above.*** 

#021 and #022:  Commercial Burglary Attempt

CSO Oliveria investigated two commercial burglary attempts at two businesses located near the 40000 block of Fremont Blvd.  The suspect(s) attempted to make entry into two separate businesses via the air conditioning unit on the roof.  No entry was made.
