Incidents 289 Reports 41

#012 Robbery (In -custody)

At 9:38 a.m., a victim called 911 to report that two males pushed him to the ground and robbed him of his cell phone.  As the call was being broadcasted Sgt. Epps saw the two suspects walking on Liberty at Stevenson.  Sgt. Epps detained both suspects until additional units arrived to assist.  Both suspects were positively identified at the scene and the victim’s cell phone was located in one of the suspect’s pockets.  Both suspects were juveniles, one from Oakland and the other a Fremont/Hayward resident.  Det. Franchi assisted with the interviews during which both suspects admitted to their involvement.  Case investigated by Officer Robinson and FTO Sasser.

#016 Auto Burglary

At approximately 10:30 a.m., a caller reported that a male broke the window to his car, parked at CVS at the Hub Shopping Center, and stole a duffel bag from his vehicle.  The victim chased the suspect through the lot but lost him as he entered Mowry Ave.  The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult or South Asian Indian adult male, mid 20’s, wearing an orange sweatshirt, carrying a black/white checkered backpack and riding a black mountain bike.  Investigated by Officer Settle.

#043 Public Intoxication Arrest

At approximately 11:25 p.m., Officer Taylor was detailed to the Elephant Bar to check on a female who was intoxicated, attempting to get into her vehicle to drive.  Officer Taylor contacted the 37 year old adult female and determined she was too intoxicated to care for her own safety.  The female was taken into custody and arrested for public intoxication. 

#002 Non-injury Collision

Officer Greenberg-Bobbitt was detailed to the area of Lake Mead Dr. to check on a hit and run collision where citizens were following the suspect.  Upon arriving, it was learned that the suspect driver lived in the area and had responded home to call FPD to report the collision. 

#004 DUI Arrest

At 2:13 a.m., Officer Dooley was detailed to the area of Bidwell Dr. to check on a possible collision.  Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle.  Upon contacting the adult male driver, it was determined he was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.  He was arrested for DUI.

#016 Warrant Arrest

At approximately 11:40 a.m., Officer Fuellenbach conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fremont Blvd and Mowry Ave and arrested (cite released) a 64 year old adult male, Fremont resident, for his traffic warrant.

#041 DUI Arrest

At approximately 10:50 p.m.,  Sgt. Lambert on-viewed a vehicle pull out on eastbound Stevenson Blvd from northbound Davis Street and collide with the center median.  Sgt. Lambert initiated a vehicle stop and contacted the driver.  The driver, a 62 year old adult male, Fremont resident, was arrested for DUI.

#042 Warrant Arrest

At approximately 11:25 p.m., Officer Luevano conducted a pedestrian stop in the area of Fremont and Paseo Padre.  The subject, a 43 year old adult male, was arrested for his no bail warrant.

#002 Possession of a Controlled Substance Arrest

At approximately 2:20 a.m., Officer Chahouati conducted a traffic stop in the area of Grimmer and Fremont.  A 23 year old adult male was arrested for possession of small amount of suspected cocaine.

#008 Public Intoxication Arrest

At approximately 11:20 a.m., Officer Fuellenbach was dispatched to Panera (Mowry) after employees called regarding a drunk male sitting outside of the restaurant drinking from a wine bottle.  Officer Fuellenbach arrested the 56 year old adult male for being drunk in public.

#004 Commercial Burglary

At approximately 6:30 a.m.  a commercial burglary was reported on the 40500 block of Albrae St. Unknown suspect(s) broke a window to enter the business and a unique machine used to make cabinets was stolen. 

#019 Outside Assist/Assault with a Deadly Weapon

At approximately 3:15 p.m., a subject entered Washington Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower right leg.  The 24 year old adult male stated he was shot near Smart and Final by a Hispanic male adult.  Officers checked the area of the alleged shooting which met with negative results in locating a crime scene.  After several changes in his statement, further investigation revealed that the incident occurred outside of the city limits.  The male was uncooperative and released from WTH.  Video surveillance revealed the male was dropped off by an unknown female driving a green 90’s Honda Accord 2-door with a spoiler on the trunk.  Local area agencies were notified.  Officer Weber and FTO Hollifield investigated.

#004 Car-jacking

At approximately 3:00 a.m., a caller on Lindenwood Street reported that her son needed an ambulance because an unknown individual had punched him in the face and took his car.  The 20 year old victim advised he had been sleeping in his vehicle on the street near his residence and unknown descript male wearing a hoodie beat him up and took his vehicle, a 2001 black over gray Lexus (7AHD663).  Victim had a significant laceration above his eye and an injured hand.  The victim was treated for his injuries by paramedics.  Case investigated by Officer Piol.
