A contractor hired by the City of Fremont for the Capitol Avenue Extension Project in Downtown will begin night construction work for a sanitary sewer pipe and a manhole installation tonight. The work at the intersection of Mowry Ave and State Street will take place over the next week and a half and is scheduled (weather permitting) as follows:

Wednesday night 10/15 and Thursday night 10/16 - from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. – saw cutting and AC removal.

Monday night 10/20 through Friday night 10/24 night work – from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. – installation of sewer manhole and sewer line.
The intersection of Mowry Ave and State Street will not completely close during construction, however there will be limited access and detours in place and at times. Please try to avoid the area if possible.
