#017 Felony Warrant Arrest

Officer Sasser contacted a 37 year old adult male, San Jose resident and arrested him for his felony drug warrant.

#015 Injury Collision

Units were dispatched to Kaiser Hospital after a female reported she had accidentally run over an elderly female in the parking lot of Kaiser Hospital.  Luckily, the vehicle that struck the pedestrian was a raised truck which prevented serious injuries.  Kaiser staff came to the aid of the pedestrian who was transported to the emergency room with minor injuries. 

#018 Grand Theft

At approximately 10:10 a.m., CSO Gott investigated the theft of twelve specialized sewage air vents from a storage container on a construction site located at Calaveras/Blacow.  The items are unique and valued at approximately $1,000 each.  They were being used to complete an overhaul of the Fremont sewer system. 

#026 Attempted Theft

Officer Richards investigated an attempted theft at the Irvington Wheel and Brake on Industrial Pl.  A white male adult in his 40’s, brown hair and white shorts attempted to steal a battery, but fled when employees saw him.  He was seen fleeing the area in a white 4-door Cadillac.

#40 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Officers Valdes and Montojo conducted a vehicle stop on Erma Ave.  The officers contacted the 28 year old adult male driver who was found to be in possession of a glass pipe. He was cited and released at the scene.

#028 Grand Theft Incident

At 2:50 p.m. Officer Baca investigated a grand theft incident of a cargo shipment that occurred on 09/04/14.  A driver arrived to his location in Hayward and learned that items from within the cargo container were missing.  Hayward PD initiated the investigation and met with Fremont officers who learned that the driver had stopped at the MacDonald’s on Cushing Pkwy before taking the shipment to Hayward.  The shipment originated from a company in Fremont and this was the only stop.  The driver also noted that the roll-up door on the truck was not fully latched.  The valued loss is $66,750.50.  There are no further leads at this time.

#032 Grand Theft

At approximately 2:45p.m.,officers were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance where a male victim reported to have lost $26,000 in a scam.  The victim was approached at the Arco AM/PM gas station at Auto Mall Pkwy/Grimmer Blvd. by a suspect who told him that he was inheriting money from a family member’s estate.  After showing the victim paperwork, the suspect was able to talk the victim into loaning him money that he would pay back.  After completing the transaction, the suspect left the area and was never heard from again.   A second suspect was also involved and seen by witnesses.  The suspect(s) left in a black colored sedan. This case was investigated by Officer Malcolmson.

Suspect #1:  Black male, approximately 45 years old, 6'00", 185 lbs., short black hair last seen wearing sunglasses, yellow gold ring with square cut diamond and a grey pinstripe suit with tie.  Described as having a Jamaican or African accent while talking.

Suspect #2:  Black male, approximately 30 - 32 years old, 5'08", 180 lbs., shot black hair last seen wearing prescription glasses, brown leather jacket and blue jeans.

Suspect Vehicle:  Black 4-door unknown make car

#044 Misc. Public Service

At 6:01 p.m., several officers were called to Eagle Terrace on the report of a male with a hand gun who had discharged it multiple times.  As officers arrive the suspect is located and a felony vehicle stop is conducted. The hand gun was found to be a paint ball gun and the owner was clearing it of air which the r/p thought were gun shots.  The man was counseled by officers as to how this activity was perceived by residents and advised that shooting a paintball gun within the city limits is unlawful.   This case was documented by Officer Baca

#001 Possession of a Controlled Substance

About midnight, Officer Chahouati conducted a traffic stop in the area of Auto Mall Pkwy and Christy St.  The driver, an adult male, was found to be driving on an expired license.   The male was also found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and was arrested for same.

#053 Public Intoxication

At approximately 10:10 p.m., Officer Taylor was detailed to the area of 4700 block of Stevenson Blvd. regarding a male hitting a fence with a bat and arguing with people.  Officer Taylor contacted the 33 year old adult male, Fremont resident and determined he was too intoxicated to care for his own safety.  The male was taken into custody for same.

#054 Public Intoxication

At approximately 11:00 p.m., Officer Meredith was detailed to the Durham Green Apartments regarding a male passed out on the front lawn.  Upon arriving Officer Meredith contacted a 33 year old adult male, San Jose resident and determined he was too intoxicated to care for his own safety.  The male was taken into custody.
