Today was the first day of school for Fremont Unified School District. Dayshift officers conducted high visibility patrols at the following elementary schools both during the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up:

Mission Valley Elementary Glenmoor Elementary

Several stops were conducted with multiple warnings given, but overall the pick-up and drop-off was without incident.
#026 Immigration Phone Scam
A victim reported that a suspect called and claimed to be from “Immigration Services” and coerced the victim to give them $5,000. Investigated by Officer Oliveira and FTO Dodson.
#027 Public Intoxication Arrest
Officer Boyd contacted an adult male at Carl’s Jr. (Fremont/Thornton) and arrested him for being drunk in public. The adult male was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
#029 Public Intoxication Arrest
FTO Foster / Officer Stinson arrested an adult male on Civic Center Dr and arrested him for drunk in public.
#034 Public Intoxication Arrest
At approximately 3:15 p.m., FTO Loughery / Officer Lui contacted an adult male at 7-Eleven (Chapel Way) and arrested him for public intoxication.
#037/046 Trespassing Arrest
Officer Ehling responded to the Extended Stay on Farwell Pl and advised a subject to leave. Approximately four hours later at 7:30 p.m., the 28 year old adult male returned and was sleeping on a chair in the lobby. Officer Ehling arrested the male for trespassing.
#048 Warrant Arrest
At approximately 9:30 p.m., Officer Dooley stopped an adult male at Mikes Supermarket (Niles) and arrested him for multiple outstanding warrants.
#039 Residential Burglary
CSO Oliveira responded to the 800 block of Wisteria Drive to investigate a residential burglary. The victim came home and found the rear sliding glass window smashed. Several items were taken including musical instruments, equipment and jewelry. A gray van was reported to be in the neighborhood earlier in the day and again in the late afternoon.
#056 DUI Arrest
At approximately 10:50 p.m., Officer Stillitano, while working DUI enforcement, stopped a vehicle for speeding in the area of Meredith Dr/Washington Blvd. During the contact, the driver showed signs of being under the influence and admitted that he had been at Coaches bar earlier in the evening. Officer Stillitano arrested the 29 year old driver (Fremont resident) for DUI.
#059 Warrant Arrest
At approximately 11:40 p.m., Officer Valdes contacts a 31 year old adult male at Motel 6 (north). The male is arrested for a felony warrant.
