North Hills & Panorama City celebrate Peace with a Peace March & Community Resources information.

Hundreds of North Hills and Panorama City residents took the streets this morning in a Peace March to call for an end to street violence.  Many carried banners and spoke to several residents who walked out of thieir apartments to take part in the march.  The event began at Casa Esperanza, a Neighborhood Empowerment and Resource facility, and ended at The Sepulveda Recreation Center.  There the participants were able to meet some of the local service providers.

The event was organized by Pastor Karl Cruz of Victory Outreach, along with several local community groups, and the LAPD Mission Area Clergy Council.  LAPD Mission Area Senior Lead Officers and Supervisors were on hand to interact with community residents.  Sgt Arocho, Mission Area Community Relations Office, thanked the participants for their great efforts in making North Hills and Panorama City a safer place.
