Incidents 331 Reports 44

#005 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

At approximately 11:55 p.m., Officer Roberts stopped a male and female walking near Research and Brown Road.  The 34 year old adult female, Fremont resident, was arrested for possession of a glass pipe.

#010 DUI Arrest

At approximately 2:50 a.m., Officer Hernandez stopped a motorist, 23 year old adult male, Fremont resident, near Fremont and Stevenson Blvd.  The motorist was arrested for DUI.

#0011 Assault with a Deadly Weapon

At 2:21 a.m., Officers were sent to Bryant Co to investigate an assault with a deadly weapon with a car.  The victim told dispatch that approximately 40 minutes prior to calling police that he had been in an argument with another male while they were shopping at 7-11 on Ellsworth.  The suspect decided to get in a vehicle and attempted to run over the victim in the parking lot.  The victim was not able to identify the suspect.  Officers Roberts and Meredith are investigating this case.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.

#009 Suspicious Circumstances

At approximately 1:20 a.m., officers were sent to the Oak Pointe Apartments on Laurel Street to investigate a suspicious circumstance.  The reporting party came home after dinner and noticed an older female lying on the porch in front of her apartment.  The unknown female claimed to have been shopping at the grocery store earlier in the evening.  When she was done shopping an unknown taxi driver agreed to take her home.  Once the lady arrived home the taxi driver carried her and her groceries to the porch and left her there.  The lady was not injured but was transported to the hospital for evaluation due to being confused on her whereabouts.

#019 Resisting Arrest

Officer Foster attempted to stop an adult male in the area of Viento Dr. and Mission Blvd. who immediately fled on foot.  The male quickly vanished into the neighborhood.  Personnel assisted with a search however the male was not located. 

#033 Commercial Burglary

A commercial burglary occurred at the Niles Smog business located on the 37800 block of Niles Blvd sometime in the early morning hours.  The suspect forced entry into the locked storage area of the property.  The suspect spent approximately 30 minutes at the property filling his truck with parts and scrap.  The suspect vehicle is described as a blue late 1990’s to early 2000 Dodge Ram Quad cab, 2-door, with a silver stripe on the bottom, chrome spoke rims, black iron racks on the sides and a sunroof.  The suspect is described as a black male adult, unknown age, approximately 5’09”-5’10”, thin to average build, short hair, wearing gray hoody, tan shorts, BB cap and yellow gloves. Investigated by CSO Allen.

#037 Public Intoxication Arrest

At approximately 8:00 p.m., Officer Leopardi responded to the report of a “man down” at the Fremont Main Post Office on Dusterberry Way regarding a male who was passed out.  Fremont Fire was on-scene speaking to a man, later identified as a 47 year old adult male, Fremont transient, who was lying on the ground in front of the main entrance.  He did not realize that he was not allowed to sleep there and was just trying to rest.  He stood up and could not stand on his own.  Due to his level of intoxication, he was not able to care for himself.  He was arrested for public intoxication.

#044 Obstructing/Resisting Arrest

At about 10:15 p.m., Officer Valdes and his Recruit Officer Stinson were at the 7-11 in Niles when a disturbance broke out between the clerk and a patron.  The clerk had refused service and asked the patron to leave the store.  The officers just happened to be in the area when this occurred.  The officers told the patron that he had been asked to leave and that the owner had the right to refuse service.  The man became defiant and told officers he was not going to do anything that they asked of him.  After multiple attempts to remove the man from the property for trespassing, he was arrested for obstructing and resisting.  He was transported to the Fremont Jail where he was cited and released.

#045 Warrant Arrest

Officer Nordseth arrested a 22 year old adult female for pair of active misdemeanor warrants.

#046 Warrant Arrest

Officer Dooley stopped a 53 year old male adult driving near Mission and Stevenson for a vehicle code violation.  He was found to have an active misdemeanor arrest warrant.  He was arrested and given a ride to the Fremont Jail.  

#001 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Officer Hunt conducted a traffic stop on an adult male driver as he was driving on Lemke Pl.  The adult male was on searchable probation and Officer Hunt located a glass crank pipe hidden in his car.  He was cited and released.

#005 Warrant Arrest

Officer Nordseth is sent to Washington Hospital to squash a disturbance.  Once the police arrived a 41 year old adult female was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant.  She earned a trip to the County Jail.

#042 and 043 DUI Arrest

Officer Perry was sent investigate a hit and run collision (property damage only) near Montrose and Fremont Blvd. and when he arrived he located the driver who was arrested for suspicion of DUI.  He was booked into Santa Rita.  Officer Tran assisted Officer Perry with the crash portion of the incident.

#008 Warrant Arrest

Officer Dias was dispatched to a disturbance at an abandoned house located on the 4000 block of Glenwood St.  Officer Dias contacted a 41 year old adult female, Fremont resident and arrested her for her two outstanding petty theft warrants.

#009 Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest

At approximately 9:45 a.m., Officer Gentry was dispatched to check on a motorist who had parked his car in the middle of the roadway a few hundred feet east on Morrison Canyon Rd. near Mission Blvd.  Officers located the motorist who claimed that he had gotten last.  Officer Gentry contacted the motorist, a 32 year old adult male, San Jose resident and placed him under arrest after he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

#026 Speed Contest

At approximately 5:25 p.m., Officer Stillitano came upon a speed contest near the 7-11 at Delaware Dr.  During his investigation, he learned that one of the passengers had an outstanding warrant.  The 29 year old adult male was arrested for the warrant.  The driver, a 42 year old adult male, was cited for the speed contest and his BMW 530i went to car jail for violating VC 23109.2a – speed contest.

#029 Warrant Arrest

Officer Collins and FTO Zargham responded to Motel 6 (south) and cited a 51 year old adult male for an outstanding warrant.

#025 Public Intoxication Arrest

At approximately 5:15 p.m., Officer K. Samayoa was dispatched to Chadbourne Elementary School, located on Plymouth Ave on a report of a male drinking near the playground area.  She contacted a 40 year old adult male, Fremont resident, sitting against the wall with an open container.  Unable to stand on his own, he was arrested for being drunk in public.  He was booked into Santa Rita.

#019 Public Intoxication/Warrant Arrest

At approximately 3:20 p.m., Officer Collins and FTO Zargham responded to Bill’s Liquors (3900 block of Washington Blvd) regarding a female screaming and yelling in front of the store.  As police units respond to the area, a well-known female is contacted near the Safeway at 5 corners.  The 58 year old adult female goes to jail for being drunk in public and for having an outstanding public intoxication warrant.

#032 Warrant Arrest

Officer Collins and FTO Zargham conducted a security check at Motel 6 (north) and arrested a 35 year old adult male for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

#039 DUI Arrest

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Officer Hernandez conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fremont Blvd and Paseo Padre Parkway and arrested a 28 year old adult male, Fremont resident, for DUI. 

#003 DUI Arrest

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Officer Piol observed a vehicle approach Warm Springs Blvd and make a turn on a solid red light without coming to a complete stop.  The vehicle turned into the Denny’s parking lot where Officer Piol made contact.  The driver, a 26 year old adult male, Fremont resident, exited the vehicle and was arrested for driving for DUI.
