A PPD officer conducted a traffic stop at Wilson and Z St. for a stop sign violation. The driver fled on foot and was caught a short distance later by an assisting officer. The driver was identified as Gary Russell Hill, who had a no bond warrant for absconding from parole and another warrant through Bingham County. Hill was also cited for Resist/Obstruct and DWP.
Accident at 1400 Yellowstone car vs. bicycle. A bicyclist riding on the sidewalk northbound on the west side of the 1400 block of Yellowstone struck a vehicle exiting the parking lot of the Toyota store. The bike rider slammed on his brakes throwing himself over the handlebars and into the vehicle prior to the bike hitting the vehicle. The bicyclist was transported to PMC by ambulance.
