Saturday, May 12th at 10:00a.m. the Pocatello/Chubbuck D.A.R.E. program will sponsor a bicycle fun ride. Due to overwhelming support, we have had a record number of registrations and regretfully we had to close the registration at 340 children. Numerous parents will also be riding with the group. The ride will start from Lower Ross Park, north on 2nd St. to Fredregill and east on Fredregill to 4th. The group will turn south on the Portneuf Greenway and ride the greenway to where it comes out on S. 2nd near the Cheyenne Crossing. The ride will continue north on 2nd St. back to Lower Ross Park. Upon arriving back at the park, a K-9 drug dog presentation will be made at the band shelter and prizes will be awarded. We look for increased numbers for next year. A note for motorists: Traffic will be blocked at times for the safety of the riders and we ask that motorists be patient and considerate of the riders. Road blockage will be kept to a minimum but there will be some delays on S. 2nd.
