Alert LA phone message to Topanga residents at 11:15 a.m.: "THIS IS ONLY A DRILL. The fire has grown to 300 acres and the southwestern flank will be jumping Topanga Canyon Blvd. in approximately 10 minutes. Zone 1 is now being advised to evacuate. Everyone north of View Ridge should evacuate northbound on Topanga Canyon Blvd. to Taft High School. THIS IS ONLY A DRILL."
