2012 Ready Set Go Topanga Evacuation Drill update: more residents are evacuated, congestion on Las Virgenes Road. 
10:45 a.m. Alert LA phone call: “THIS IS ONLY A DRILL. At this time, Zones 5, 8, and 9 are now under mandatory evacuation orders. From Zone 5, go northwest on Old Topanga and head to Taft High School. From Zone 8, utilize either Tuna Canyon southbound to PCH and head to Pali High, or go northwest on Saddle Peak Road towards the San Fernando Valley and head to Taft. From Zone 9, head southbound on Topanga Canyon Blvd. and go to Pali High. Zone 5 is Old Canyon west of Henry Ridge, south of Topanga Skyline and north of Hondo Canyon. Zone 8 is Saddle Peak and everything south to PCH, plus Powder Horn Ranch Road. Zone 9 is all of Fernwood south of Bowers and down to PCH, including Tuna Canyon. THIS IS ONLY A DRILL."
Many residents are using Las Virgenes Road to avoid Topanga Canyon and Las Virgenes is becoming congested.
