At the current time power is restored to the majority of the townships residents. There are some areas in town that remain without electricity. We have been in contact with PSE&G. They are currently working on restoring power to those areas still affected. Residents should be aware of the many power lines and electric service connections that remain on the ground as a result of the storm damage. These lines may be energized and should be avoided. Parents should not allow their children to walk around without supervision. The Cedar Grove Police Department has compiled a list of downed wires which was forwarded to PSE&G. Residents are also urged to check on any sick or elderly neighbors affected by the power outage.
