Arrests Made Of Suspects Who Burglarized Deceased Victim's Residence 
On 02-25-23 at 2:06 p.m., Janesville Police Department Officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Center Ave. for a report of a deceased individual. After taking the initial report, Janesville Police Department Detectives and members of the Street Crimes Unit continued to investigate.
Through the investigation it was found the individual was found deceased by an acquaintance around 1:00 a.m. on 02-25-23. Instead of reporting it to the police or paramedics, the acquaintance beckoned others to the residence who stole several items from the residence including a shotgun, several items of jewelry, 2 televisions and other miscellaneous items. Around 8:30 p.m. on 02-25-23 members of the Janesville Police Department served a search warrant at 330 ½ Linn St. after information was obtained about the location of some of the stolen property. Several items including the shotgun, some jewelry, 1 television and other miscellaneous items were recovered.
Arrested for their involvement in the incident were Tricia Moen, Timothy Tustin and Al Atkins. Timothy and Al were held at the Rock County Jail pending their initial appearance for their charges relating to the incident. Tricia was released with a court date. The name of the deceased individual is not being released at this time.
This investigation is ongoing and there is still some property that hasn’t been recovered. It is believed others may be involved in this incident.
