Fernando SALAZAR was in LASD custody and assigned as an inmate worker (trusty) at Pico Rivera Station. On 2/13/23 at approximately 4:49 am, suspect SALAZAR escaped from the station on foot wearing a blue L.A. County Jail jacket and white boxers. He attempted to steal a vehicle and was unsuccessful. SALAZAR was last seen walking toward the San Gabriel riverbed off Washington Boulevard in the unincorporated area of Whittier.
SALAZAR is primarily transient, he has had prior contacts in Downey, Norwalk, Bellflower, Lakewood, Whittier, and Long Beach. SALAZAR possibly has family in Pico Rivera.
