| Narrative: |
Cold Case Homicide Investigators arrested Tony Garcia for the 1981 murders of Rachel Zendejas and Lisa Gondek. This was a joint investigation between the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Ventura County District Attorney Investigations Bureau, and the Oxnard Police Department.
A news conference will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. inside the District Attorney’s Office. Credentialed media can gather outside the District Attorney’s Office on the third floor of the Ventura County Government Center, Hall of Justice to be escorted to the media room.
