Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult.
Deputies from The Compton Sheriff’s Station responded to the 1700 block of North Long Beach Boulevard in the city of Compton regarding an assault with a deadly weapon shots fired call.
The incident occurred on Thursday December 29, 2022 at approximately 9:38 PM.
When deputies arrived they found the victim, a male Black 25-30 years of age, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the parking area of the location. The victim was treated by the Compton Fire Department and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness at the scene gave Compton Station deputies a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was seen driving. A short time later, Compton Deputies stop a matching vehicle. The driver lived at the location where the crime occurred, and was in possession of a weapon similar to the one used to kill the victim. The driver was taken into custody

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to a shooting investigation. The incident was reported Thursday, December 29, 2022, at approximately 9:53 p.m., on the 1700 block of N. Long Beach Boulevard, Compton.
The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
