Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult in the city of Palmdale.
Palmdale Station deputies responded to a motel in the 200 block of East Palmdale Boulevard regarding a medical rescue call. Upon the deputies’ arrival, they discovered a male adult unresponsive in a room. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned that the victim was discovered by motel housekeeping staff who entered the room in order to clean it.
Based on the positioning of the body, the cause of death was not apparent nor were the investigators able to determine the male’s age or race. It appeared as if a violent struggle had occurred at the scene.
The cause of death will be determined at autopsy.
It is unclear if this incident was gang related.
