On November 3, 2022, at 6:39 p.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the Willow Springs Mobile Home Park, at 14500 block of E. Tehachapi Blvd., for a report of a stabbing. KCSO deputies and Tehachapi Police Department responded. While in route deputies and officers learned there was a possible additional victim of a stabbing. When they arrived, an adult male exited the residence armed with a knife and confronted them. An officer-involved shooting involving Sheriff's Office and Tehachapi Police Department personnel occurred. The suspect was pronounced deceased on scene. A male victim was located inside the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. Kern County Sheriff's Office detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
