On September 29, 2022, at approximately 6:00 A.M., detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), Major Crimes Bureau (Prison Gang Unit), and Operation Safe Street (K-9), as well as California City Correctional Facility Investigative Gang Unit officers, and Lancaster Station’s Community Appreciation Project (LAN CAP) team served a search warrant in the city of Lancaster. The search warrant was a part of an ongoing investigation which stemmed from the information received from the California City Correctional Facility.
While conducting the search warrant, detectives detained two adults at the location. During a search of the residence, detectives recovered (6) assault rifles, (1) semi-automatic shotgun, (3) handguns, numerous high-capacity magazines, and large amounts of various ammunition. One of the handguns recovered was affixed with a manufactured silencer. Several firearms were un-serialized firearms (ghost guns) and appeared to have been assembled by one of the suspects. Both adults were convicted felons and were arrested for several felony firearm charges.
