Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are assisting the South Gate Police Department with their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a man discovered dead inside his home in South Gate this afternoon.
South Gate Police Department officers responded to a home in the 2700 block of Missouri Avenue just after 1 PM today regarding a check the welfare call. Upon arriving they discovered the victim, a Hispanic man in his late twenties, unresponsive inside the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the victim’s death was not immediately apparent and will be determined at autopsy.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to assist South Gate Police Department with a death investigation, the incident occurred on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at approximately 1:03 p.m., on the 2700 block of Missouri Avenue, in the city of South Gate.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
