Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in unincorporated Compton.
Deputies from Century Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the 13200 block of South Penrose Avenue at 8:30 AM this morning. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a medical rescue call at the residence and discovered a deceased Hispanic man in his 50’s inside.
Upon arriving, deputies found the unidentified man unresponsive inside. The victim appeared to be the victim of an assault.
There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description available.
This deadly assault does not appear to be gang related.
