#LASD SVB Seeking Additional Victims Regarding Lewd Lascivious Acts with Children, #Hawthorne

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau is investigating allegations of sexual abuse of two minor girls by their former babysitter’s husband, 74 year-old, Rosendo Medrano.  The incidents occurred between 2012-2016 when Medrano lived in the unincorporated area of Hawthorne.  
 
Medrano was arrested on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, under booking # 6436400, and remains in custody.  The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed five felony counts of Lewd Acts on a Child under 10 Years Old and three count of Lewd Acts on a Child under 14 years old by force or fear.  He has a bail amount of $2,550,000 with a next court date of August 18, 2022.
 
Based on the nature of the allegations and Mr. Medrano’s access to children, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims.  Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying any such victims.
