NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to the 13400 block of Mettler Avenue, in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles, regarding a shooting death investigation. The incident occurred on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at approximately 11:57 p.m.
Deputies from the Century station responded to a gunshot victim/street racing call to the location. Upon arrival, deputies found a male Hispanic, 15 to 20 years of age, unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The incident does not appear to be gang related and there is no suspect or suspect vehicle information at this time.
