INCIDENT: PC 243(B) - Battery on a Police Officer
LOCATION: 1400 Block of J Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Canyon Moore, 30-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Monday, July 18, 2022, at approximately 1:25 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance near the 1400 block of J Street in Needles. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered Canyon Moore was acting erratically and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. When Moore was taken into custody, he purposely spat on deputies.
Moore was arrested for PC 243(B) - Battery on a Police Officer. Moore was transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $25,000, awaiting a court hearing.
