INCIDENT: PC 245(A)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 100 Block of North K St. Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Santiago Escobar, 46-Years-Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 10, 2022, at approximately 5:35 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of an assault with a weapon, near the 100 block of K Street. Through investigation, deputies determined Santiago Escobar shot the victim with a high powered pellet rifle, causing serious injury. The victim was transported to the Colorado River Medical Center for treatment.
Escobar was arrested for PC 245(A)(4) - Assault With a Deadly Weapon and was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Escobar remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
