Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of an 18 year old Hispanic male in unincorporated Los Angeles.
Deputies from Century Station responded to the area of Central Avenue and East 82nd Street regarding a gunshot victim call at 7:51 PM last night. Upon arriving, they discovered the victim unresponsive inside a car suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators learned Los Angeles Police Department Officers initially responded to the scene regarding a traffic collision. A brief investigation revealed the victim had crashed his car after being shot.
There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description at this time. The murder weapon remains outstanding.
It is unknown if this shooting is gang related.
