Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of male black adult. Lancaster deputies responded to a liquor store at the 1300 block of West Avenue I, Lancaster regarding a gunshot victim call at approximately 10:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, Deputies located a male back adult, approximately 50 years old, who sustained at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. Deputies administered life saving techniques, Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded to the scene and treated the victim who was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned the victim was involved in an argument with a male black adult suspect, prior to the shooting. The suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim.
The suspect remains outstanding.
