Officers arrived on scene and located the graffiti at the main entrance to City Hall.  The spray-painted graffiti read “Steamers Landing” in black spray paint and “You sweep we strike” in red spray paint. Additionally, human excrement was found smeared on the sidewalks and glass entry doors to the City Hall entrance.

The Petaluma City Hall building is equipped with a video security system which was activated during this incident and captured images of the suspects responsible for the vandalism damaging the building at 11:53 PM. The attached still photos of the suspects were taken from the security video footage.

After processing the scene, Officers worked with the City staff and a hazmat company to remove the graffiti from the building and coordinate the clean-up of the human waste so Petaluma City Hall could be safely open, welcoming, and accessible for employees and community members.
