MULTIPLE FIREARMS SEIZED OVER THE WEEKEND

Gun crimes are a concern on a national, state, and local level. The Janesville Police Department continues to be pro-active on gun crimes within the community to ensure public safety. Over this past weekend the Janesville Police Department seized nine total guns during three separate investigations. Below is a quick summary of those seizures.
 
JV2226690 - On June 4, 2022 at 9:10 p.m. Janesville officers executed a search warrant in the 200 block of S Jackson St. after seeing a known suspect with warrants, Anton May, flee into a residence. During the investigation in lieu of, the search warrant seven firearms consisting of two handguns, a revolver, a shotgun, a rifle, and two BB guns were seized.  Anton C May (42) of Janesville was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Obstructing/Resisting an Officer, and four counts of Bail-jumping. Aikisha L Tyler (45) of Janesville was arrested for Harboring/Aiding a Felon and Obstructing an Officer. Jeffrey A Mahalick (51) of Joliet, Illinois was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Obstructing/Resisting and Officer, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. This is still an on-going investigation.
 
 
JV2226812 - On June 5, 2022 at 3:11 p.m. Bryon O Ramos-Colon (25) of Janesville was stopped for expired registration in the 200 block of N Franklin St. The investigating officer observed narcotics in plain view and upon further investigation found a concealed handgun in the vehicle. Ramos-Colon was arrested for three counts of Bail-jumping, Possession of Schedule IV Narcotics, Possession of THC, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
 
JV2226892 - On June 5, 2022 at 11:52 p.m. Brillonte L. Harden (23) of Janesville was stopped for expired registration on N Parker Dr and Ba-Wood. The investigating officer observed narcotics in plain view and upon further investigation found a concealed handgun in the vehicle. Harden was arrested for Possession of THC, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon.
