INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Palmdale Road / Pearmain Street, Adelanto
SUSPECT(S): Leejon Tolliver, 34-year-old resident of Adelanto
SUSPECT VEHICLE: Silver 2014 Dodge Durango
VICTIM(S): Victim #1, 29-year-old Male, Resident of Victorville (name withheld pending identification by Coroner)
VICTIM VEHICLE: 2021 Harley Street Bob Motorcycle
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 8:11 p.m., the victim was traveling westbound on Palmdale Road, east of Pearmain Street. The suspect, Leejon Tolliver, was stopped at the Pearmain Street / Palmdale Road intersection preparing to turn east onto Palmdale Road. Tolliver turned onto Palmdale Road in front of the victim, and a collision occurred. The victim was transported to Victor Valley Hospital and was pronounced deceased at 8:55 p.m. due to injuries sustained from the collision.
Tolliver fled the scene of the collision prior to deputy arrival, but was subsequently located during the investigation. Tolliver was arrested for Vehicle Code 20001(a), Hit-and-Run. Alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the collision.
