Please be advised that a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Hudson County and the surrounding area due to the possibility of severe thunderstorms until 12 a.m. Winds of greater than 40 MPH are also predicted.
The Office of Emergency Management encourages residents to exercise caution as any intense rainfall of greater than 0.8 inch per hour could result in flooding in low-lying areas.
Residents are encouraged to secure all loose objects outside or bring them inside, especially on balconies. Outdoor tents should be taken down depending on wind load.
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines, resulting in power outages.

Recycling collection will occur as scheduled. Residents are reminded to secure their cardboard. Cardboard must be flatted and bundled in a cardboard box, tied with string, or put in a blue covered bin and placed at the curb after 7:30 pm, or after 9 pm in the Limited Business Area.
No plastic bags, styrofoam, glass, or plastics are allowed in Paper Recycling on Thursday nights.
