| Narrative: |
A 23-year-old man was arrested following an argument that ended with another man being fatally stabbed.
On March 9, 2022, at about 5:47 pm, Moorpark deputies responded to a family disturbance in the 4700 block of Park Lane. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male suffering from a stab wound to his body. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation revealed the victim was stabbed by his son, Jason Fernandes for unknown reasons.
Fernandes was detained near the scene and was taken into custody shortly after the incident on charges of murder. He was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility where he is currently being held in lieu of a $3,000,000.00 bail. He has a scheduled arraignment in Ventura Superior Court on 03/11/2022 at 1:30 pm, in Courtroom # 13.
