On 02/20/2022 at about 12:50 pm, the Sheriff’s Communication Center received a call for service from a food delivery person who said he had been robbed in the 100 block of Raemere Street.  The victim was able to provide a location and suspect description.  Camarillo patrol deputies quickly surrounded the area and identified the possible suspect as Juan Sanchez.  Sanchez fit the description of the suspect and was known to live in the area.

Detectives from the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail arrived and continued the investigation.  This resulted in Sanchez being further identified as the suspect who robbed the victim.  While the investigation was underway, Sanchez exited his house where he was contacted by deputies who detained him without incident.  A search of Sanchez’ person revealed property related to the victim.  Sanchez was placed under arrest and transported to the Camarillo Police Station.

Detectives continued their investigation with the execution of a search warrant at Sanchez’ known residence.  The search warrant recovered additional evidence further linking Sanchez to the robbery of the victim.

Sanchez was booked into the Ventura County Jail for a violation of California Penal Code 211, Robbery.  Sanchez’ bail was set for $500,000.00 and he has a court date of 02/23/2022.
