INCIDENT: PC 187 - Murder
LOCATION: 29900 Block of Exeter Street, Lucerne Valley
VICTIM: Brian Curtis Probert, Sr., 56-years-old, resident of Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT: Brian Curtis Probert, Jr., 33-years-old, resident of Lucerne Valley
SUMMARY: On Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 2:47 p.m., deputies from the Lucerne Station responded to a residence in Lucerne Valley for a report of a deceased male. When deputies arrived, they found Brian Curtis Probert, Sr. deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
Detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Specialized Investigation Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation.
Through investigation, Sheriff’s personnel identified the suspect as Brian Curtis Probert, Jr. and located him a few miles from the residence. Probert, Jr. was arrested and booked in at the High Desert Detention Center where he remains in custody without bail.
