Narrative:
On February 8, 2022, detectives with the Camarillo Investigation Bureau and Special Enforcement Detail executed a search warrant and arrested an Oxnard resident in connection with a recent string of commercial burglaries and for firearms charges.
 
Between January 19, 2022 and February 6, 2022 detectives assigned to the Camarillo Investigations Bureau began investigating several commercial burglaries and grand theft from a commercial business located in the 700 block of Pancho Road.  During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Cesar Sanchez. 
 
Detectives learned Sanchez was currently out on bail after detectives with the Ventura County Auto Theft Task Force (VenCATT) arrested Sanchez, on 1/25/2022, for a felony warrant, felon in possession of ammunition and possession and transportation of a controlled substance.  Detectives in both units communicated and shared information pertaining to their investigations.  VenCATT confirmed Sanchez had potential stolen property at his residence from the Camarillo burglaries.
 
On February 8, 2022, detectives with the Camarillo Investigations Bureau and Special Enforcement Detail executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Helsam Avenue and 2000 block of Auto Center Drive.  Detectives recovered stolen property and evidence linking Sanchez to the burglaries and grand theft.   Detectives also located and seized a handgun and ammunition.
 
Sanchez was arrested for commercial burglary, grand theft, and felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition charges.  Sanchez is in custody at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with a bail of $190,000.
