INCIDENT: Residential Search Warrant

LOCATION: 300 Block of Chestnut Street, Needles, California

SUSPECT(S): Rachel Reyes, 41 years old, resident of Needles, CA
                        Luzvida E. Quintero, 40 years old, resident of Needles, CA
                        Michael J. Thomas, 37 years old, resident of Mohave Valley, Arizona
                        Jose J. Acosta, 56 years old, resident of Needles, CA
                        Mark A. Franco, 44 years old, resident of Needles, CA
                        Theodore S. Muniz, 35 years old, resident of Needles, CA

SUMMARY: On Monday, January 10, 2022, at approximately 5:45 p.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted a residential search warrant in the area of the 300 block of Chestnut Street.  Deputies and a law enforcement canine from the Mohave County Sheriff's Office assisted during the search warrant.

During the search of the residence, deputies located six subjects, firearms and ammunition, dangerous illegal drugs and prescription drugs and an illegally possessed tear gas device.  In total, deputies seized approximately 35 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Jose Acosta was found to be in violation of Health and Safety (H&S) code 11366, maintaining a drug home and H&S 11378, possession of a controlled substance for sales.  Acosta was consequently arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail with a bail amount of $75,000.00.  Acosta remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department awaiting a court hearing.

Michael Thomas was found to be in violation of Penal Code (PC) 29800(a)(1), felon in possession of a firearm and PC 30305(a)(1), felon in possession of ammunition.  Thomas was consequently arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail with a bail amount of $100,000.00.  Thomas remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department awaiting a court hearing.

Mark Franco was found to be in violation of PC 22810(a), unlawful possession of tear gas.  Franco was issued a promise to appear citation and released from the residence.

Theodore Muniz was found to be in violation of H&S 11365(a), being present where controlled substance use is occurring.  Muniz was issued a promise to appear citation and released from the residence.

Luzvida Quintero was found to be in violation of H&S 11365(a), being present where controlled substance use is occurring.  Quintero was consequently arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail and was later released on promise to appear citation.

Rachel Reyes was found to be in violation of H&S 11351, possession of controlled substance for sale, and H&S 11365(a) being present where controlled substance use is occurring.  Reyes was consequently arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail and was later released on promise to appear citation.
