**UPDATE**#LASD Homicide Detectives Responded to a Shooting Death Investigation, 2000 Block of 120th St, Unincorporated #Compton

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a male black adult.

At approximately 12:40 p.m. Century Sheriff's Station received an assault with a deadly weapon gunshot victim call. 

When deputies arrived, they located two victims. Both victims were male Black adults. One was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso and the other to one of his legs.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital where one of the victims was pronpounced deceased. The other victim is in stable condition at this time. 

Witnesses at the scene said they saw two male Black adults exit a burgundy vehicle. They walked up approximately two houses from where the vehicle had come to a stop and opened fire to the two victims who were in the front yard working on a car. 

The suspects ran back to their vehicle and fled the scene heading southbound.

NARRATIVE:  

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators responded to a shooting death investigation. The incident was reported Saturday, December 18, 2021 at approximately 12:47 p.m. in the unincorporated area of Compton.
 
The two male adult victims were struck by gunfire. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where one was pronounced deceased and the others condition is unknown at this time.
