INCIDENT LOCATION: South Tibbs Avenue/Wicker Road

INDIANAPOLIS-IMPD officers have taken 52-year John Killough Jr. into custody for his warrant reference the fatal crash investigation.  We want to thank the community for their support during this investigation.

INCIDENT TYPE: Attempt to locate

INCIDENT LOCATION: South Tibbs Avenue/Wicker Road

INDIANAPOLIS – On Saturday December 11, 2021, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to Wicker Road at South Tibbs Avenue for a vehicle crash.  Officers arrived and located a 11-year-old victim, identified as Kyson Beatty, with injuries sustained from a vehicle crash.  The victim was pronounced deceased. The other vehicle involved, described as a flatbed truck with tires and later a bobcat on the back, fled the scene.
 
IMPD Crash investigators responded to the scene and began their investigation. 

On December 14, 2021 IMPD Crash investigators identified the suspect and worked with the Marion County Prosecutors Office to ascertain a warrant for the arrest of 52-year-old John Killough Jr. for his alleged involvement in this incident.

IMPD needs assistance from the community in locating John Killough Jr. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to call the IMPD Hit and Run Office at 317.327.6549 or 911.
